Golden Key Names New Board Chair





Philip Calhoun currently serves as an executive vice president with the auto manufacturing consulting firm Total Quality Engineering in Farmington Hills, Michigan. During his academic career, Philip Calhoun was a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society.

The Golden Key International Honor Society recently announced its appointment of Adnan Bokhari to the position of board chair. Bokhari currently serves as chief financial officer and chief operating officer of the Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED) and has served with Golden Key in various capacities since 2012. In his current role at CFED, Bokhari helps the nonprofit group navigate through various government programs to help individuals in financial areas such as building savings and owning a home.

Golden Key’s board is tasked with the responsibility of overseeing the society’s business affairs as well as the organization’s internal governance. Members are chosen from various walks of professional life in both the profit and nonprofit fields.

Michigan Chronicle Magazine - Men of Excellence Award

 

As the executive vice president of Total Quality Engineering, Philip Calhoun oversees the principles and standards of operation that shape the company. Philip Calhoun worked in the field of engineering management for more than 15 years with the Ford Motor Company. In 2012, Philip Calhoun was presented with the Men of Excellence award by Michigan Chronicle Magazine. He also was given the JD Power Platinum Award in 2007 honoring his work as plant manager at the Lincoln Town car assembly facility.

The Men of Excellence award, presented by Michigan Chronicle magazine, celebrates leaders from Detroit who have made a significant impact in their field. Philip Calhoun was recognized for being a “lean manufacturing” expert, operating the Ford Motor Company’s Dearborn Engine & Fuel Tank Plant along with its Woodhaven Forging Plant in an innovative and cost efficient manner.

The Michigan Chronicle has recognized more than 800 honorees for the Men of Excellence and Women of Excellence awards since they began in 2008.
