Michigan Chronicle Magazine - Men of Excellence Award

 

As the executive vice president of Total Quality Engineering, Philip Calhoun oversees the principles and standards of operation that shape the company. Philip Calhoun worked in the field of engineering management for more than 15 years with the Ford Motor Company. In 2012, Philip Calhoun was presented with the Men of Excellence award by Michigan Chronicle Magazine. He also was given the JD Power Platinum Award in 2007 honoring his work as plant manager at the Lincoln Town car assembly facility.

The Men of Excellence award, presented by Michigan Chronicle magazine, celebrates leaders from Detroit who have made a significant impact in their field. Philip Calhoun was recognized for being a “lean manufacturing” expert, operating the Ford Motor Company’s Dearborn Engine & Fuel Tank Plant along with its Woodhaven Forging Plant in an innovative and cost efficient manner.

The Michigan Chronicle has recognized more than 800 honorees for the Men of Excellence and Women of Excellence awards since they began in 2008.
