Tom Brady Named League's Best Player in NFL Network's Top 100 List
The recipient of masters degrees in manufacturing management and economics from the HEC School of Management and London School of Economics, respectively, experienced plant manager Philip Calhoun has served as executive vice president of Michigan's Total Quality Engineering since 2015. A former semi-professional football player, Philip Calhoun counts the New England Patriots as his favorite National Football League (NFL) team.
The NFL Network compiles a list of the league's top 100 players prior to every season and, for the second consecutive year, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has topped the list. Brady, who will turn 41 years old in August, is a 13-time Pro Bowl player, five-time Super Bowl champion, and three-time MVP. He led the league in passing yards last season with 4,577, while also throwing for 32 touchdowns compared to only eight interceptions. He has been ranked in the top five of the NFL Network list since 2011.
What stands out about the recent No. 1 ranking for Brady is that the list was curated through a poll conducted among NFL players. Antonio Brown, Carson Wentz, Julio Jones, and Le'Veon Bell rounded out the top five, while Rob Gronkowski (No. 15) was the only other Patriots player to make the top 100.
