Patriots Win ESPY for Best Game

With more than 25 years of industrial leadership experience, Philip Calhoun serves as executive vice president at Total Quality Engineering. Outside of his professional pursuits, Philip Calhoun enjoys watching one of his favorite National Football League (NFL) teams, the New England Patriots.

Led by quarterback Tom Brady, the Patriots won their fifth Super Bowl in 16 seasons in 2016 after beating the Atlanta Falcons. Even more impressive than the team's total number of championships is how New England rallied to win the Super Bowl in 2016. At one point in the game, the Patriots were behind by 25 points.

At the end of the third quarter, New England trailed 28-9, but the team scored a field goal and two touchdowns, including one with 57 seconds left in regulation, sending the game to overtime. Running back James White secured the come-from-behind victory with a two-yard score with 11:02 remaining in overtime.

The impressive comeback earned the Patriots the Best Game award at the 25th annual ESPY Awards, which were hosted by former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning, a longtime rival of the Patriots.
